Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Spring 2014

This week we have seen some hair trends emerging from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, as designers showcase their Spring 2014 collections.

The low slung ponytail
Zimmerman styled hair in a side parted low ponytail, keeping the front a little wispy, and the back straight and sleek. Effortlessly chic!

Get the look:

1. Building a textured foundation in the roots of the hair is key for this style. Start by parting hair on the side, and begin applying the De Lorenzo Sandstorm dry texture spray in the roots of the hair. Manipulate with your hands to texturise and separate
2. Brush through the ends of the hair, and spritz with the De Lorenzo thermal protection spray, before  straightening the ends of your hair.
3. Pull the hair loosely into a ponytail at the nape and leaving volume at the top.
4. Re adjust the hair around your face by pulling gently, to create a looser, more gentle look.
5. Section off a thinner strand of hair from under the ponytail, and wrap around the base of the ponytail to hide the hair tie. Pin into place.
6. Finish off with a mist of De Lorenzo vapour mist hairspray to hold it all in place.

Long and luscious
Tory Burch showed a easy to wear, natural, soft, healthy looking hair, with a return of the middle part. Classic, and classy!

Get the look:
1. Apply De Lorenzo de-tangler spray to wet hair and comb through to evenly distribute.

2. Spray hair with the De Lorenzo thermal protection spray before blowdrying straight using a round brush.

3. Use a straightener to run through any stubborn sections.

4. Spritz with the De Lorenzo afterglow anti-humidity shine spray to control frizz and add a healthy shine.

Messy up-do
Tracy Reese showed a messy up-do, displaying less than perfect curls worked into an elegant bun, with a twist.

Get the look:
1. Begin by applying the De Lorenzo barrel wave lotion from roots to ends, before sectioning and curling hair with a curling wand for long lasting curls.

2. Separate curls with fingers creating a messy look, and spritz with the De Lorenzo amplify volumising spray to add texture and hold the curls in place.

3. Begin pinning or tying the hair into a loose bun, and pull at sections at the front to loosen and create a more gentle, messy look.
