The 67th Annual Tony Awards

 Hair and Make-Up Under Review

Anna Kendrick
The Antoinette Perry Awards, or as we know them, the Tony’s, celebrate the achievements of the season’s Broadway theatre productions. Now while musical theatre may not be your thing, the glamour of the evening cannot be ignored.

Whilst the Oscar’s, Grammy’s and other award-show evenings are often well-orchestrated affairs with designers and stylists making their mark, the Tony’s are typically an occasion for the celebrities to demonstrate their personal style. This year, they did fabulously. Demonstrating an array of classic hair dos and beauty tricks - we take under the microscope some of the more iconic looks of the evening.

Scarlett Johansson
Anna Kendrick shows us that she has followed ‘The Law of Constant Proportions’ – make a statement with your lips or your eyes, never both. Her elegant low bun up-do works magically with her floor-length gown, whilst her kohl-rimmed eyes are accentuated by the fact that she has maintained a neutral-pink lip colour. Well done Anna!

Scarlett Johansson has inversed Anna’s look through rocking the sultry wine pout and leaving her eyes to speak for themselves. Steering clear of dark outlines, the shimmery eye shadow makes her eyes appear bigger and complements her beautiful green eyes. Another success story.

Condola Rashad
Condola Rashad maintains a neutral palette in the beauty department with her radiant skin becoming her best accessory. Her gravity-defying beehive and soft curls make this hairstyle one of the more iconic looks of the evening.

Sienna Miller the perennially youthful beauty sported a bohemian look on the evening. A simple bun pulled together with a floral and sequined headband and wispy tendrils covering her ears, Sienna marks herself as a timeless beauty. Avoiding heavy make-up and applying a little blush with plum-coloured lips are also tickets for maintaining a more youthful look.

Let us know which look is your favourite!
