Delicious Hair Colours in Sweet Sorbet

What do you get when you combine balyage hair trend with the pastel colour trend?
De Lorenzo's NEW colour collection 'Sweet Sorbet'!  The trend spotters said both trends wouldn't last and we're here to tell you that colour dipping is here to stay!

We are seeing this look everywhere at the moment but we first saw this look many eons ago on the most unsuspecting  of celebrities...

OK, so maybe they didnt quite nail the look but these days anyone can! Pastel hair is no longer reserved for the rinse set of yesteryear...although we can draw a little inspiration right?

These days the look is more subtle (thank my grandmothers prize pergolias!) and can be seen on everyone from  the most sophisticated style afficionados...

to the very cool indie princess on the inner city streets...

And finally, here's our take on this gorgeous, and very permanent, new colour trend...SWEET SORBET....

So what's your favourite flavour?

DE LORENZO'S FANTASY FILLED CATWALK EXTRAVAGANZA FOR ANNUAL ASPYA CONFERENCE

The opening night of De Lorenzo's annual ASPYA salon conference was an unforgettable masterpiece of opulence and splendour.  It was a fitting tribute to the company's rich family heritage and its contribution to changing the landscape of the Australian hair industry. Guests were taken on an emotionally charged visual journey, which unfolded the story of De Lorenzo through a visually narrated on-screen script and a starry-eyed interpretation of its founder's original vision and hair creations.

In the opening segment, models brightly adorned in Josh Goot's latest floral creations emerged from a make-believe greenhouse bursting with flowers, and sashayed down the runway showcasing hair that was larger than life.

The second section brought to life Mr Vincent de Lorenzo's award winning 'nautical' themed hairstyle with a shipwrecked twist and drama drenched glamour.

A decadent, gelati coloured 'Marie Antoinette' themed third section opened to an audible gasp of appreciation from the audience. Set on a beautiful Maison style daybed, sat models dressed in an opulent array of stunning tulle vintage ball gowns, complimented by a delicious palette of sorbet hair colours.  The look recreated Mr Vincent's original, seven coloured bouffant hairstyle that won him the Australian Hairdresser of the year award in 1949.

The final section of the show conveyed De Lorenzo's natural approach to haircare through use of ingredients "as pure as snow".

A dramatic and whimsical display of snow drenched avant guard hairstyles and clothing.

This beautiful 'Alice in Wonderland' fairytale style show closed to a thunderous round of applause from guests and crew alike.

A special thank you must be given to the talented team of hairstylists, makeup artists, musical composers, choreographers, models, fashion stylists, dressers, AV crew, De Lorenzo national technical team, headed by the talented Deborah French, and De Lorenzo Marketing Department, but especially to the talented Sarah Laidlaw who brought this stunning vision to life.
